Summary:
? Perform network engineering functions including: conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization.
? Must assess evolving user needs, translating those needs into network changes through network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation and test. Must be knowledgeable in the application of current and emerging network software and hardware technology and protocols.
? Solves engineering problems (or manages the solution of engineering problems) in the functional area assigned
Responsibilities:
? Strong switch, router, modem knowledge and ability to setup, configure the devices as well as upgrade firmware.
? 5 Years experience in the SATCOM domain
Requirements:
? Network Engineer with "Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) - Windows Server 2012" and/or "Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) - Server Infrastructure" credentials and experience in configuring and managing certificate servers, domain controllers and Group Policy Objects in a system-of-system architecture.
? VMWare Data Center Virtualization Certification and experience in the configuration and use of VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus, VMware View, VMware vCenter, and VMware Workstation. Additional knowledge of Cisco Routers and Switches and Blade servers.
? IAT Level 2 Cert by DoD 8570-01M; Security+
