About the Position:
The successful candidate will take responsibility for delivering process improvements within our Meter to Cash end to end process. (e.g. Account Initiation, Billing, Payment Processing, Credit & Collections, etc) and support the Billing and Credit & Collections Strategy leadership team by leveraging the overall Performance Excellence Strategy.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the skills and experience necessary to analyze and improve processes using Lean methodology. The candidate facilitates the analysis, design, and implementation of process improvements, as well as acts as a liaison with all levels of management and staff during the process improvement lifecycle. This role also involves strong project management and project leadership skills.
Performance Excellence (PEx)
This role involves working with the management team to support the development and implementation of the Performance Excellence Strategy. The candidate will personally help to support managers and analysts on PEx and ensure that the new ways of working are established and retained.
Project and Program Management
The role will include managing and facilitating teams on small to large LEAN projects to drive efficiency and value for the business functions it supports. Responsibilities include:
Coaching & facilitating teams to deliver projects across areas in Meter to Cash.
Organizing and facilitating workshops to define issues and develop solutions.
Manage small to large projects through to delivery.
Ability to craft & deliver presentations to management level.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
As a qualified Performance Excellence practitioner, lead LEAN acting as an internal consultant to make professional recommendations for business improvements, whilst facilitating and coaching others on projects and LEAN techniques.
Assist with the identification of process improvement opportunities.
Quantify financial opportunities and benefits offered by process improvement projects.
Provide process focused analytics support to business process and performance teams.
Interact with senior leadership and subject matter experts to develop solutions that improve process performance by increasing productivity and efficiency and/or managing process demand while enhancing the customer experience.
Develop an understanding of the operational work being performed and associated processes and garner the respect of employees
Drive high quality results.
Ensure deployment of common solutions across the business.
Identify and present new project opportunities to leadership.
Develop and share best practices among organization.
Inspire confidence and lasting change throughout organization during process improvements.
Conduct data collection and analysis to support process improvements to reduce cost and complexity across the enterprise while driving efficiencies.
Draft and review project deliverables and analysis such as value-stream mapping and statistical analysis.
Responsible for mobilizing and managing project teams and delivering tangible business benefits.
Ongoing regular engagement, with teams and leaders, to sustain the journey of delivering performance excellence and achieving lasting behavioral change.
Support & facilitate small to medium projects to deliver cross-business efficiencies, benefits and change.
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Required:
A Bachelor's degree in a related area and up to 3 years of analytical or business support experience, or equivalent work experience is preferred; advanced degree/credits are preferred.
Lean methodology experience is a preferred, IASSC Lean Black Belt Certificated a plus
Project Management PMP Certification a plus
Change Management experience
Ability to think strategically and identify critical success factors when developing strategy and plans for assigned area of responsibility.
Ability to establish a high level of confidence with all stakeholders.
Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly and is effective in all manner of presentation settings (i.e. one to one, groups, peers and leadership).
Ability to build and sustain productive and collaborative relationships and motivate in an effective manner.
Experience working with and influencing key stakeholders.
Possess strong problem solving, communication skills (both oral & written).
Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other business software
Minitab or other statistical tool is a plus
VBA or other programming language is plus
Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly and is effective in all manner of presentation settings (i.e. one to one, groups, peers and leadership).
