Public Affairs Specialist

Position Description
CGI Federal, GSSC, is seeking a Serve as public affairs specialist in direct support of USCYBERCOM and will maintain responsibility for interacting with media representatives, establishing and maintaining a robust community relations program, establishing and maintaining contact with other agencies, and keeping personnel informed of matters and issues that may affect them. Conduct the planning, organization, and execution of activities in support of news media relations, community relations, internal communications, security and policy reviews, and other program initiatives. Provide expertise to support the Command PAO in the performance of duties, including proactively addressing the wide range of public affairs issues that support and affect the achievement of the Commands Cyberspace mission.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

-3+ years of experience as a DoD public affairs specialist
-Experience with posting and distributing informational materials in hard copy, electronically, or via internal social media platforms
-Ability to pay strict attention to detail
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph required
-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with writing, editing, and preparing news releases and programs
-Experience with preparing responses to information requests on assigned programs from the news media, specialized groups, and other organizations or groups
-Ability to display self
-motivation, including the ability to work independently
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-BA or BS degree
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. Your future duties and responsibilities
