Senior Systems Integration Engineer with a strong technical background will provide pre-sales support to assist in developing solutions to customer needs; is the technical lead during customer interface and facilitates interactions and collaboration with Business Unit Engineers and Customer Account Leads; and is the thought leader responsible for the design and validation of solutions and providing guidance on best practices for implementation.


Responsibilities:
? Provide pre-sales engineering support for business opportunities.
? Responsible for all aspects of system engineering activities in the development of technical solutions.
? Perform technical planning and provide direction for the development of complex software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, interface standards specification, develop system architecture, conduct system requirements review, requirements verification and validation, system integration planning and execution and perform technical and non-technical assessment as well as end-to-end flow analysis.
? Support Enterprise Architects in establishing new architectures and migrating legacy applications to newer architectures.
? Implement operational view, technical view, and system and services view for architectures using DoD architecture framework (DoDAF).
? Understand interface designs and capture them in a common interface control format and store interface data in a commonly accessible repository.
? Lead integrated product team (IPT) to design new capabilities based upon evolution of all necessary development and operational considerations.
? Assist Capture Managers in developing software and system engineering solutions to meet customers? needs and requirements.
? Review and validate all solutions to ensure compatibility and consistency with ManTech best practices.
? Present technical briefings to Customer Executives and Sr. Engineering Staff.
? Communicate the role and value of the proposed solution to the organization and present the business case for technology investments.
? Assist both the Sales and Operations groups with requests for quotes / information, bids, proposals and statements of work.
? Support Community of Practice (CoP) to further and enhance the Systems Engineering solutions ?State of the Practice?:
o Evaluate new technology, providing recommendations and solutions integrating said technology
o Process development and documentation
o Design, populate and expand collaboration space
o Data resource integration into collaboration spaces (Past Performance, Best Practices, Lessons Learned)
o Working in conjunction with other Group and Business Unit Solution Architects/Engineers create, maintain and publish methodologies, approaches and best practices in support of ManTech key business area CoP.
o Identify, mentor and leverage internal Subject Matter Expertise (SME) resources
o Surge support for large opportunities and process training requirements
? Use business management tools for tracking time, expenses and project status and documentation.
? Understand and abide by all security and operational policies.
Qualifications:
Required:
? Bachelor?s degree in Engineering or equivalent, and twelve to fifteen years related experience including management and software development experience.
? Development of architecture products and requirements using DoDAF and related tools (System Architect, MagicDraw, DOORS).
? Hands-on experience in integrating C5ISR systems.
? Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform analysis of alternative, trade-off, impact analysis and development of measures/metrics/scorecards.
? Hands-on experience with DevOps processes, including the use of tools like Jenkins, Cloudbees, Chef, or Puppet.
? Experience and skills in requirements analysis; architecture styles, tactics, patterns, architecture modeling, architecture documentation.
? Track record of leading successful capture efforts as a lead solution engineer/architect.
Preferred:
? Minimum of 5 years as an engineering consultant, outside systems engineer or similar.
? SCRUM master certification.
? ISA Certified IT Architect (or equivalent) certification.
? Experience with software development, testing and data modeling.
? Engineering support to C5ISR tactical, aerial and space-based systems and communications.
? Ability to understand complex IT requirements and develop Concept of Operations (CONOPS) to drive the baseline solution.
? Experience interviewing SMEs, customer representatives and sales leads to elicit the knowledge and background information required for creating effective solutions.
? Experience developing labor and hardware estimates in support of developed services, software and hardware solutions.
Desired:
? Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer.
? Strong technical writing skills and the ability to assist the sales team and business groups with requests for quotes / information, bids, proposals and statements of work.
? Demonstrate the ability to create technical drawings and concept graphics for solution proposals.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present in a group setting; ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers, including conceptual design and white boarding sessions.
? Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions.
? Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills.
? Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives.
