Job Summary
Responsible for managing Human Resources at a large (1000+) plant located in Russellville, Arkansas. This position has primary responsibility for managing the hourly population recruiting, employee and labor relations and training. Must be able to negotiate effective policy changes relevant to a union environment. Involves effective administration of existing programs in accordance with policies and procedures including EEO compliance. Minimum 7 years? experience in a Union facility. SCOPE DATA: Large Plant
Position Responsibilities
Evaluate and understand a Collective Bargaining Agreement
Apply the principles of the Collective Bargaining Agreement to effectively defend issues that may arise in the grievance process.
Effectively develop consistent processes to investigate violations
Prepare position briefs related to grievances and/or arbitrations
Ensure personnel are trained in processes and procedures and strict adherence is maintained.
Provides direction and counsel regarding Human Resources aspects of plant operations
Assist in all phases of the staffing process including requisition, recruitment, interview and selection
Leads in the development, implementation and auditing of policies and procedures
Analyzes training and development needs. Assists in the development and administration of training programs
Manages regulatory compliance efforts.
Leads culture in assessment processes and provides direction on development and implementation of action plans
Perform other related duties as required and assigned
Position Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or related degree required
PHR/SHRM-CP or advanced degree preferred
Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Human Resources in a Union plant/manufacturing environment
Demonstrated experience managing projects
Ability to utilize influence management skills to accomplish goals
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
Experience with Workday, Kronos and/or other HRIS
Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to deal with ambiguity, change and a dynamic business environment
Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively manage those relationships.
Previous supervisory experience
