YOUR TASKS
Reporting to Finance Controlling Manager, you will be responsible to:
Perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the company's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements.
Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place and provide recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes.
Ensure Internal Audit Finding’s coming down every year or no surprises
Main Responsibilities:
Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the company has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
Review daily accounting work prepared by shared service center, including accruals, sales and expenses booking as well as various reconciliations and schedules.
Provide advisory service to shared service center when necessary.
Perform and monitor month-end closing activities.
Handle Annual Operating Plan (AOP)/Budgeting.
Monitoring Fixed assets and CAPEX review.
Prepare functional review so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions
Assist in process improvement projects and initiatives.
Annually review local policy/procedure.
Perform internal audit and analysis on need basis e.g., FOC compliance usage review, employee discount report, MEVA, etc.
Ensure internal control procedures are in place and in accordance with internal control framework including CRISP.
Liaise with external auditors on financial reporting issues and internal auditors from regional / global office.
YOUR PROFILE:
Minimum bachelor's degree, in Accounting / Finance.
Professional accountancy qualification (having CPA or equivalent is advantage).
5 years’ relevant experience in accounting and auditing, preferably in logistics / transportation industry or multinational companies
Fluent English (written and spoken).
