What you'll do...

Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empowers merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business.

We are seeking a people-first, customer obsessed leader to join our Research Team. The Senior Research Manager is responsible for leading and cultivating a culture of expertise, support and value. They are a champion for our Customer Perception primary research product - building strong relationships with stakeholders to foster the utilization of quantitative and qualitative research projects.

What you'll do...

  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of Walmart Data Ventures products and services, including competitive marketplace offerings, to identify and propose potential opportunities to internal business partners and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a product ambassador, developing new and enhancing existing materials for use in educating business partners on the use and benefits of our product.
  • Lead and/or support internal and external training programs (i.e., courses, webinars etc.)
  • Proactively identifies product updates that reflect use requests, industry, market, and competitive trends.
  • Able to execute all aspects of the research process from research design and questionnaire writing, field management to analysis, and interpretation of the results.
  • Oversee team to ensure flawless execution of all market research projects from design to delivery.
  • Develop and share best practices with team members to continually improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our processes.
  • Manage and foster positive ongoing relationships with key contacts (decision makers) across the organization, engaging regularly to facilitate adoption and engagement in product for pertinent use cases.
  • Work with the team and ensure everyone understands team strategy and individual expectations in contributing to the organization's goals.
  • Regularly provide performance feedback, instill a high level of work ownership and seek feedback from team on challenges and/or barriers to overcome.
  • Recognize and reward the contributions of associates, provide a safe work environment and encourage a healthy balance of work and personal life.
  • Effectively develop and use all the diverse skills and background of all team members.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • 6+ years of market research experience in a client-facing role.
  • 3+ years of managing a team.
  • Solid experience in questionnaire design, table specifications and project management.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and phone communication skills with the ability to adapt conversations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with online data collection tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Decipher, etc.).
  • Knowledge of SPSS and/or other quantitative reporting tools.
