ManTech International Corporation is looking to hire experienced personnel to support our U.S. Government Agency customer in multiple locations CONUS or OCONUS. This position will require the chosen candidate to currently possess an active DOD ? Top Secret Security Clearance.
LOCATION : Varied CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The qualified candidate will look to work closely within a team environment. They must be able to demonstrate the ability to articulate well, be extremely tactful and reserved when in communication with all levels of leadership and will be assigned multiple complex projects that will directly impact their program by managing projects from start to finish.

MUST obtain a pre-deployment DoS Medical Clearance upon hire.
The Automotive Engineer SME is a subject matter expert who engages in all aspects of the Vehicle Platform and Integration Management (VPIM) program and provides expert insight on vehicle integration issues. The Automotive Engineer supports U.S. Department of State vehicle requirements in multiple overseas theaters in potentially high-threat environments and may be required to deploy TDY to these locations in support of the VPIM engineering effort. During overseas deployments, the Automotive Engineer may be required to rotate between theaters and to multiple locations within each theater. The Automotive Engineer reports directly to the VPIM Program Manager and will support the engineering efforts of the VPIM program. The Automotive Engineer will develop complete vehicle integration solutions and the associated bill of materials for each platform to provide a finished product to be properly fielded. The Automotive Engineer with work closely with Contingency Communications Radio (CCR) and Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) engineers to ensure interoperability when applicable. The Automotive Engineer will be responsible to verify each vehicle platform can support the power requirements of all integrated systems, as well as other associated equipment and provide solutions when required. The Automotive Engineer will develop comprehensive test plans as well as provide on-site U.S. Department of State oversight during verification testing in accordance with configuration management protocols. The Automotive Engineer will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of
specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. The Automotive Engineer will apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
Must possess a Bachelor?s Degree or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, or Physics Engineering, as well as five years of technical experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern vehicle systems. Must have knowledge of vehicle computer, tuning, power train, and power generation systems. Experience working with vehicles equipped with ECM, CCR, and/or high RF Output systems. Must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of vehicles used by the U.S. Department of State, which include General Motors, Toyota, and/or BMW models.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
May be required to travel OCONUS to conduct installation, training or maintenance at diplomatic facilities. OCONUS travel may include critical threat locations around the world with austere living conditions. Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination
