PC-12 Instructor Pilot

Position Description:

Provide all aspects of flight training to US or foreign students. Develop POIs and training plans to include basic flight, tactical flight, instrument flight training, and night vision goggles. Train Students to International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) visual flight rules (VFR) and instrument flight rules (IFR) day/ night standards. Produce military-certified Pilots and Instructor Pilots that are safe, proficient and capable in flight planning, flight maneuvers, navigation procedures, and emergency procedures. Develop and execute schedules, policies, instruction, records documentation, and syllabi required for flight and ground training. Develop and adhere to Flight Operating Procedures (FOP), Ground Operating Procedures (GOP) IAW AR 95-20. Follow direction of the Government Flight Representative to include participation in Aviation Program Teams. Maintain currency in aircraft of record. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance. Position is in Afghanistan requiring medical screening and pre-deployment training at a U.S. Army CONUS Replacement Center.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Valid and current FAA Commercial Pilot certificate for fixed wing and instrument ratings in the applicable aircraft class, or US Military equivalent.
Possess an FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)
Must hold a valid FAA instrument, or US Military equivalent.
Minimum of 1500 flight hours with 500 hours as an instructor pilot, of which at least 200 flight hours must have been in fixed wing training.
Must hold a valid and current FAA or military equivalent Class II Medical Certificate as prescribed by the Government.
Must be NVG qualified.
Must be current and qualified in the PC-12.
Valid US Passport
Education and Experience:

Prefer Bachelor?s degree in Business or Aviation. Years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education requirement.
Experience supporting flight operations and training in a deployed environment.
Experience as an Advisor, Mentor, and/or Instructor of foreign military personnel preferred.
Preferred candidate will have experience conducting ISR operations in fixed winged aircraft.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and regulations.
Ability to identify and comprehensively resolve problems in timely manner.
Ability to assess program conditions and take appropriate actions to maintain program momentum through insightful critical thinking and problem solving.
Military Experience is preferred.
Additional skills such as Standardization, Safety, and ALSE are a plus
Physical Requirements:

Effort is performed in an austere work environment.
Must be able to lift over 35 lbs.
Work in extreme weather conditions for an extended period.
