Job Summary
Reporting to Director of Employee Benefits, has overall management responsibility for administration of employee Retirement Plans & Benefit Program Compliance.
Will partner with vendors, HR Business Partners as well as other internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of a strategic plan and champion change management for smooth implementation.
Position Responsibilities
Manage multiple vendor relationships for the administration of defined benefit and defined contribution plans. Problem resolution must be handled in a timely and accurate manner to insure all Conagra employee?s benefits are administered accurately.
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends impacting the design and delivery of cost effective Benefit Plans.
Ensures company compliance with provisions under IRS, DOL, FAS, COBRA/HIPAA, ERISA and other benefit legislation; managed preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies such as IRS, DOL, insurance commissioners, and other regulatory agencies.
Direct the activities associated with the maintenance of benefit related compliance and document reporting and filing.
Develop partnerships with departments and agencies.
Foster an innovative environment that promotes professional and personal development making development of others a core ingredient to success.
Align team and individual objectives and performance measures with company?s goals.
Develop, document and implement benefit plan design and processes including best practices for SME service model.
Project future trends in benefit costs and technology, and champion the change management associated with the evolution to best cost benefit solutions.
Develop metrics to measure the relative success associated with various Benefit Plan design changes.
Support the Director Benefits in acquisition and divesture work. This would include working on due diligence prior to acquisition or divesture and following through on the necessary administrative steps to complete the acquisition/divesture.
Serve as backup on issues associated with Labor Relations and union avoidance.
General Qualifications
Requires the skills of a polished business professional who understands the interrelationship between: 1) the creative and innovative design and delivery of cost effective benefit plans, 2) the continuous measurement of employee benefit plan outcomes, 3) and the impact of total rewards costs to the Conagra business plan.
BA/BS (Masters preferred) in Business, Human Resources, or commensurate experiences. Knowledge of ERISA qualified benefit plan industry best practices.
Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and other benefit and HR related legislation
Minimum of 5-10 years supervisory experience within a large multi-state, multi-plan benefit department
Minimum of 5 years benefits administration experience
Strong leadership and management skills as demonstrated by employment in positions of progressive responsibility and expertise
Possess solid planning, analysis and detail- oriented skills
Self-motivated and independent problem solving ability, required
Workday and/or PeopleSoft experience, desired
Proven written and verbal communication skills, required
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, required
Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruption, required
Willingness to work in a team environment, required
Superior analytical, communication and organizational skills
Working knowledge of computers as well as financial/business analysis techniques, skill in the use of database management, word processing, spreadsheet, and/or presentation software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
