Cyber Instructor

Job Description:
The instructor will provide instruction and student evaluations on Military Intelligence Noncommissioned Officer roles, responsibilities, and operations as part of the Military Intelligence Noncommissioned Officer Education System (NCOES). The instructor will write/update lesson plans and produce instructional products pertinent to subjects taught in the 35Q MOSs at Advanced Leaders Course (ALC). The instructor will be required to assist in the training, administration and development of the NCOA. This may include developing, updating, and maintaining lesson plans pertinent training materials, tests, student handouts, critical task lists, Automated Systems Approach to Training (ASAT) or Training Development Capability ((TDC) input, schedule development, test training support packages, incorporation of lessons learned into the Program of Instruction (POI), and POI improvement recommendations based on approved Government doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures.

The Instructor will provide doctrinally correct instruction for the Warrant Office Basic Course when required. The instructor will enter/update lesson plans and/or other information into current Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) automated training databases as required. The instructor will be be available to work workdays, to include Saturdays, or evenings, including Field Training Exercises (FTX) or Situational Training Exercises (STX) as needed, on Ft Huachuca and surrounding area.Provide training and training development services to the United States Government is support of the Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) Academy for the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence (USAICoE) at Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Services will be provided to individuals of the Active Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard as well as to Sailors, Airman, Marines, and applicable civilian personnel learning to operate in their designated Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or Area of Concentration (AOC). The work will be performed primarily in a classroom or field environment within Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard bases at various Continental United States locations as required. The instructor shall perform duties at the USAICoE Joint Intelligence Combat Training Center and/or on a Mobile Training Team in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations as required.

Required Skills:

Must have served honorably as a Non-Commissioned Officer (Staff Sergeant E-6 or higher) in one of the following Military Occupational Specialties or other service equivalent: 35Q, 17C, 35T, 25D, 35N, or 25B

Must have at least 6 years of practical experience in military cyber environments/operations

An Active DoD TS/SCI clearance

Current experience related to Military Intelligence Doctrine

Desired Skills:

Certification from the Army Basic Instructor Course (ABIC) or another service equivalent

Certification from instructor professional development courses to include; Small Group Instructor?sCourse, Advanced Instructional Methods Course, Training Development Capability, System Approach to Training

Familiarity with AR 350-70

An Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with current CI Polygraph

Experience with VMWare server infrastructure

Familiarity with ARCYBER and USCYBERCOM capabilities and operations


In addition to the above desired skills, it is highly preferred that the candidate has an expert level understanding in following areas relating to Cyber.

Network protocol Analysis

Intrusion Techniques and Analysis

Vulnerability Research

Operating Systems Internals (Windows and/or UNIX/ Linux)

Advanced Network Technologies

Preparing intelligence reports and products

Required Education:

A bachelor?s degree is preferred, however, additional years of experience will be considered in the absence of a bachelor?s degree.
