Non-CA Pay Range (Annual):

$70,600.00 - $131,000.00

Infinera is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant. This role will support the income tax function for both provision and compliance. This position reports directly to the Director of Tax Compliance.
Infinera is a leading optical networking and semi-conductor chip manufacturer, with headquarters in the United States and operations across 45+ countries. As a key member of our Tax Department, the Senior Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Director with an out-sourced income tax compliance process for our domestic tax returns. This position will leverage technology resources to assist with streamlining process and developing synergies between the provision and compliance processes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with outsource compliance partner to improve standardization as well as automation in the US foreign tax compliance process
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all US foreign tax returns, including Form 1042 and FBAR reporting
  • Preparation & review of quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740) for the foreign group of entities as part of the global tax provision.
  • Provide technical tax accounting advice on various such as federal and state incentives compliance, depreciation calculations, NOL utilization and valuation allowances.
  • Prepare analysis and documentation regarding foreign tax issues related to tax reform including Subpart F income, GILTI, BEAT, 163(j) and E&P adjustments.
  • Maintain foreign tax credit schedules.
  • Prepare & review the reconciliation and analysis of tax accounts for foreign entities.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience at a multinational corporation and/or public accounting firm
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance
  • Strong preference for a candidate with a CPA certification
  • Experience with US reporting structures for a multinational with a large number of entities in multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience with tax provisions
  • Track record of standardizing, executing and documenting end-to-end processes, particularly for compliance and provision
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Proven experience with problem solving and prioritization
  • Exceptional organization and project management skills with the ability to work independently and/or cross functionally as needed to own and drive the US compliance process
  • Proficient with MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP and OneSource software a plus
