JOB SUMMARY

The Project Coordinator ensures the successful planning, execution, and completion of various projects and tasks within an organization. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various programs and staff. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating project activities/tasks, tracking progress, managing timelines, and facilitating effective communication among team members. Further the Project Coordinator will be the point person of the applicable programs to ensure they have what they need in order to complete assignments or tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – May vary by department/program.

  1. Collaborate with managers and applicable staff to develop project plans, initiate various tasks/assignments including timelines and resource allocation.
  2. Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and meeting minutes
  3. Coordinate project activities – ensuring tasks are assigned, deadlines met, and resources allocated appropriately.
  4. Serve as central point of contact for program tasks and/or project-related inquiries, providing timely and accurate information/updates to management or applicable staff. Ensures staff have what is needed for successful completion of tasks or assignments.
  5. Provides administrative support and back-up for other agency departments and sites.

Schools/Administrative

  • Project management skills – ability to assist with grant writing, compiling information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to use excel
  • Ability to create visuals/powerpoint presentations
  • Good verbal communication and customer service skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management

Experience and Skills

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, degree preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Sound judgment and ability to adapt to change and meet demands of the work environment.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task on multiple tasks or projects
  • Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be culturally competent to work with diverse populations and interact with others.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information. Knowledge of federal HIPPA laws.
  • Must be punctual and flexible.
  • Must be able to travel between Village and other sites.
  • Physically able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
