Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Network Engineer to support the Communications Team for an IT Operations and Maintenance contract in the Bethesda, MD

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Analyzes user?s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications
? Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
? Analyzes network requirements and capacity and leads design and development activities
? Provides technical leadership for the integration of network requirements, design, and technology
? Incorporates new network plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
? Develops network architecture and network design documentation
? Guides network development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of network engineering management plans and network integration and test plans
? Design and perform integration of new technologies into local and wide area networks
? Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of complex network problems
? Manage the transition and migration of networks and development of network addressing schemes
? Interacts with the Government regarding Network Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
? Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Network Engineering area of responsibility
? Communicates with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives

Required Qualifications:

? Develops new concepts and processes. Analyzes root causes and resolves issues. Supports more junior level technicians and specialists in their activities. Can perform all tasks of lower level technicians or specialists.
? Works individually, actively participates on integrated teams, and may also lead a task, project or team
? Requires guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, and managers only when dealing with new, uncertain situations. Provides guidance to lower level technicians and specialists.
? Certifications. DoD 8570.01 compliant: Security +, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA Security

Desired Qualifications:
? Experience configuring and deploying Cisco series LAN/WAN switches routers, firewalls, optical networks, and Intrusion Detection devices
? Experience with configuring and deploying Brocade Ethernet switches
? Experience with provisioning and deploying SONET, ATM, VoIP, QoS, environments
? Strategic and tactical plans for data survivability and recovery planning
? Assistance in the development of a concept of operations plans (CONOPS) to guide the tactical steps required to provide business continuance and disaster recovery
? Experience with application QoS performance and latency tuning and troubleshooting across network architecture
? Experience implementing and supporting enterprise systems monitoring and management tools.
? Solid network and systems troubleshooting experience with network protocols (UDP, TCP\\IP, DNS) across OSI Layer, network security configurations, and network encryption
? Ability to analyze and assess computer/network architecture requirements and determine optimum, cost-effective solutions
? Any of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Voice Professional, Brocade Certified Network Engineer (BCNE), Network+

Education Requirements:
Degree from accredited institute in an area applicable to the position Minimum years of relevant experience in addition to education level
High School Diploma / GED 8
Associates Degree 6
Bachelor?s Degree 4
Master?s Degree 2

Security Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship and an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility. Must be clearable up to TS/SCI with Polygraph.
