ManTech is currently seeking a Systems Engineer in support of our AEGIS Fleet Support program located in Dahlgren, VA.

Systems Engineer position supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) on the AEGIS and Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) surface ship program in Dahlgren, Virginia. The position provides support to the Aegis In-service Baseline Manager. Specifically the position involves performance of the following tasks:

? Provide lifecycle and configuration management of ERDDS
? Service ERDDS related Tech Assist support requests from Fleet and land-based test sites
? Provide on-site and distance support technical assistance to resolve problems with AEGIS ships using ERDDS near real-time ship-to-shore displays and data collection capabilities
? Conduct engineering studies and assessments to determine root cause of anomalies that impact SPY using ERDDS data
? Maintain liaison with crews through use of on-line chat, telecoms, and Naval messages for issues related to ERDDS
? Provide engineering support for the sustainment of all ERDDS equipment
? Provide and execute design changes supporting mechanical, equipment, and electrical updates as required
? Review current ERDDS technical documentation to capture tactical considerations of employment of ERDDS within theater of operation
? Identify future enhancements for operator displays, complimentary software products, data recording and software transfer opportunities
? Provide inputs for the periodic reviews for the AWS PRA, IAVA creation, and shore-based IA accreditation packages
? Provide and execute design changes required to support computer program and firmware updates
? Represent NSWCDD Aegis In-service concerns at conferences and meetings
? Develop presentations as required
? Travel is required in the continental United States, Hawaii, Spain, and Japan

Level of experience/Education:
? United States citizen and an active secret clearance
? United States Navy experience
? Possess knowledge of the Navy?s AEGIS combat systems
? Bachelor?s degree in an associated discipline and at least 4 years of related experience, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 6 years of related experience
? Familiarity with Enhanced Radar Data Display System (ERDDS)
