About the Position:
The Telecom Supervisor's role is to providefront line leadership for field operations. Working as one team, one nationalgrid, the role has an array of responsibilitiesthat include assuring a safe work culture, driving performance, coaching,mentoring, training and overall development of the field workforce. Thisleadership role understands the work execution process, work coordination for amulti skilled workforce for construction, operation, and maintenance oftelecommunications equipment, metering systems, SCADA, two way radio, andmicrowave and fiber systems. Candidate must be results focused with an idea fordeveloping clear and specific goals.

Candidate must exhibit interpersonal skills consisting ofexcellent communications in the area of active listening and clear and precisepresentations. Management skills encouraging group participation and diversityof thought. Planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects and budgetrequirements. A team player building group spirit, while exhibiting aprofessional work ethic and leadership skills that inspire others to the needfor specific changes in the way work is accomplished.
Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Responsible for the supervision of union andnon-union non-exempt employees.
Will be required to maintain a high level oftechnical aptitude and skill.
Manages an expense budget which includes labor,material, transportation, and other operating expenses.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or ElectricalEngineering with three years of experience in telecommunications, metering,Scada, two way radio, microwave and fiber systems, or similar technical field,servicing customers and supervising employees. or
Associate's Degree in Electronic or ElectricalEngineering with five years of experience in telecommunications, metering, Scada, two way radio, microwave and fiber systems, servicing customers, and supervisingemployees. or
Minimum of seven years in telecommunications,metering, Scada, two way radio, microwave and fiber systems maintenance.
Desired FCC certification
Possess a valid driver's license with a safedriving record.
Ability to work off-hours and on call rotations,including occasional travel outside the Division.
Qualify for Authorized Persons List tocoordinate and initiate switching.
Must successfully complete job specific NationalGrid Foundations of Leadership training courses within allotted time frame.
Required Completion of Personnel Risk Assessment
Must have completed NERC CIP Modules I & II
