Systems Administrator - Military veterans preferred

Leidos currently has an opening for an Azure Administrator to work in our Arlington, VA office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your gain experience helping multiple contracts and missions. This position will support multiple programs and projects housed at that location. We are looking for an Azure Administrator to support and maintain multiple secure Azure environments. The candidate will be responsible for configuring user accounts, configuring and maintaining virtual environments, troubleshooting connection issues, and working closely with the information assurance team to ensure a strong security posture.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment and management of Azure resources (VM’s, storage accounts, databases).
• Monitor resource usage and performance, make recommendations based on these observations.
• Support user account creation, modification, and deletion in Azure Active Directory.
• Assist with access management.
• Monitor and report on the environment through the use of Azure Monitor to track performance and resource health.
• Generate regular reports on resource utilization and incidents.
• Support the team in implementing security best practices within Azure Environments.
• Report security incidents to the ISSM.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant Windows systems administration / systems engineering experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/ 2019/ 2022 and Red Hat Linux 7 and 8 using the most current technologies.
• Knowledge or experience with Azure, Hyper-V, VMWare, SCCM, SMTP, Printer Management, DHCP, DNS, NFS, SAMBA, CIFS, etc. and remote hosting/sharing protocols.
• Active Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (Exams AZ-800 & AZ-801).
• Active DoD 8570 certification at IAT II, Red Hat Linux, Linux +, CompTIA Security +ce or higher.
• Experienced working with Active Directory.
• Experienced with Linux
• Experienced with patching/ STIGing and system upgrades that occurs in a classified environment.
• Customer oriented with excellent oral and written communications skills; able to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Security Clearance Requirement: Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications to include: RHEL Certification, Linux +, CCNA, CCSP, MCSE, and/or SANS GIAC.
• Experienced with Azure administration.
