European Air Transport Leipzig GmbH (EAT) is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL Group. We are both a maintenance company and a cargo airline and are currently responsible for the aircraft maintenance of 32 Airbus A300-600, 5 Airbus A330, 32 Boeing B757, 26 Boeing B767 and 24 Boeing B777 at our locations in Leipzig, Frankfurt, Cologne and throughout Europe. YOUR TASKS
As a liaison to the management, the shift leader is responsible for the organization and development of his maintenance team. The scope of responsibility ranges from personnel allocation and individual personnel development to maintaining qualifications.
Organization of tasks assigned to the team, coordination of derived work orders, among others with support departments
Ensuring the effective & proper completion of assigned tasks
Promotion of efficient resource use and careful handling of operating resources
Ongoing coordination & reporting on the technical fleet status within the task area
Coordination of shift staffing, control of presence & absence times
Individual personnel development including coordination of qualifications and conducting feedback discussions
Active promotion of process understanding, compliance and continuous improvement
Willingness to conduct internal workshops and training and to participate in appropriate qualifications
YOUR PROFILE
Completed degree and several years of relevant professional experience or long-term relevant professional experience
Holder of a Part 66 CAT B1 or B2 license with type rating for aircraft maintenance
At least 5 years of professional experience with wide-body aircraft
At least 3 years of experience as a manager in the aviation industry
Knowledge of legal requirements, labor law, aviation law
Knowledge of MS Office and programs such as AIMS, Trax
Very good German and English skills
Analytical thinking combined with communication & organizational talent, motivating for team members
Pronounced social skills and leadership experience
Committed and reliable working method, constant role model for employees
Mediation skills & persuasive power
Willingness to lead the team in shift work
