Quantum Research Program Manager (Job Number:429214)
SAIC seeks to hire a Quantum Research Program Manager in a key role to provide technical support and apply expertise in quantum information science, including working towards advancing multiquip operations. Assimilate and integrate technical input from performers and analyze performers' technical deliverable and reports. Conduct technical writing, development, and refinement of briefing materials and other program documentation using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Conduct independent review and summary of technical literature and emerging technologies and participate in conferences and workshops for program technical areas. Develop and document testing methodologies and protocols, ensuring they align with program technology components and assess performer results against program metrics. Coordinate, align, and schedule technology development tasks across multiple performers and perform continuous analysis of technical progress in comparison to planned cost and schedule.
-2 years of experience researching experimental quantum computing using superconducting qubits or spin-based qubits in semiconductors (this experience may have been gained during academic internships, doctoral, and/or post-doctoral studies).
-Experience with one of the following:
Qubit development utilizing superconducting circuits
Qubit development utilizing silicon devices
Qubit development utilizing trapped ions
Research in Improvements to quantum characterization, verification, and validation
RF Engineering specifically related to qubit chips
-Knowledge of physical system and quantum information research
-PhD in Physics, Mathematics, CS, or Engineering
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
-Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently within a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment
-Ability to write concisely, perform persuasive speaking and writing
-Ability to accurately convey technical and scientific issues to people with varying levels of expertise
