ManTech is currently seeking an experienced Program Director to support NASA Johnson Space Center, Office of Safety & Mission Assurance.
The Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of all aspects of an ongoing program including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling program activities.
Provide strategic guidance to functional managers, staff and teams in ways that promote the company's culture. Oversee the progress of operations and develop efficient strategies and tactics.
Responsible for the performance of a significant program with multiple task orders in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures and guidelines. Oversees the technology development and/or application, marketing, and resource allocation within program client base. Program area typically represents more than three functional areas such as engineering, systems analysis, quality control and administration. Responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading proposals.
Responsible for managing and directing the SMA activities for all Human Space Flight Programs and Projects assigned to the Johnson Space Center (JSC) including the International Space Station (ISS), Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV) Orion, Advanced Exploration Systems (AES) Projects, the Extravehicular Activity (EVA) and other JSC flight projects. Included is the responsibility for developing and implementing the capability to independently analyze and assess the safety, reliability, maintainability, and quality engineering and assurance of the design, development, test, manufacturing, certification, and operational phases of these Programs and Projects.
Responsible for the management and technical direction of the SMAEC II safety and mission assurance program. Provide independent risk assessment and analysis for flight science and research projects.
