Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Collection Specialist to join our team in the Northern VA area to provide unparalleled support to our internal organization and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.


The Collection Specialist shall provide strategic, operational, and/or tactical collection support in the ?front end? of the Intelligence Cycle in one or more collection disciplines, e.g. Human intelligence (HUMINT), Signals intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery intelligence (IMINT), Measurement and Signature intelligence (MASINT), Open source intelligence (OSINT), and/or Document and media exploitation (DOMEX). Provide support to the DHS IE collection mission to execute an integrated, multi-INT approach to collection activities, establish collection strategies, input customer information needs into tasking systems, monitor and disseminate intelligence reports, and monitor report evaluation and feedback. The Contractor will support the Government in advocating for DHS collection requirements and priorities in various IC governance forums, such as the National Open Source Committee, National Intelligence Collection Board, National Geospatial Board, etc. The above activities may apply to various collection disciplines, including human-derived intelligence (HUMINT), geospatial intelligence (GEOINT), signals intelligence (SIGINT), open source intelligence (OSINT), measurement and signals intelligence (MASINT), document and media exploitation (DOMEX), and law enforcement technical collection. The Contractor shall assist in developing and updating a comprehensive set of Standing Information Needs (SINs) and Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) that document DHS IE collection requirements and include input from DHS elements and Federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, and private sector stakeholders. This Contractor shall draft collection requirements and collection emphasis guidance in a clear and accurate manner.


  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, years of experience can replace degree requirements.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of collection management databases techniques, processes, procedures and policies.
  • Must be able to apply knowledge of INT-specific techniques, collection methods, and tools as required.
  • Ability to interact effectively and confidently with professionals at all levels of responsibility, and utilize a variety of data sources, applications, and programs to collect, analyze, and identify potential information of interest, intelligence gaps and critical information needs to help draft collection requirements.
