Work closely with the VP of Talent Effectiveness on the development and implementation of the Diversity strategy
Assist with the development of policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse work force for the organization.
Determine the appropriateness of introducing diversity initiatives and consider the unique needs of the organization. Act as a consultant, teacher, and coach to the HR generalists, business and our employees.
Assess situations, while always keeping our code of conduct top of mind. Know when to escalate.
Audit older diversity training materials for updating and where it makes sense build into current e-learning formats.
Work in partnership with Learning team to develop diversity training materials and coordinate online training.
Work in partnership with HR Generalists to develop metrics for measuring the effectiveness of corporate diversity initiatives. Implement and prepare quarterly reports for SLT on the value of the initiatives. These metrics should be imbedded in the talent strategy and business metrics.
Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining contact with others in the field (e.g., professional association and educational groups, and professional development efforts).
Operates in a manner that supports our desire to break down silos, and build positive outcomes.
Liaison to our external partnerships.
Responsible for completion of agreed upon external surveys (e.g., HRC-CEI)
Oversight of EEO/AA Compliance, and is responsible for tracking good faith efforts for the purpose of EEO compliance.
Evaluate and make recommendations to Director on diversity spend/budget.
Liaison to ERN?s: assess model, build strategy, and align leadership to the go-forward plan.
Liaison to the Diversity Advisory Council: provide D&I support where needed.
The diversity manager supervises the associate compliance analyst, and is responsible for the continued development of this individual.
This role does require some overnight travel.
Diversity and Inclusion Technical Capacity
Coach and Teacher
Bachelor?s degree in human resource management, business or public administration, or closely related field
Four years of related human resources experience
Minimum 2 years direct supervisory experience
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred
Certified Diversity Professional (CDP); Certified Diversity Executive (CDE); Cornell Certified Diversity Professional (CCDP); or other related diversity certification preferred
