AECOM is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer to support our operations and maintenance team in Aurora, IL!
?Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm; hours may vary based on business demand.
?This position is available for an estimated 12-18 months.
?Hiring bonus may be available to qualified candidates outside of the commuting area.
This Facilities Electrical Engineer supports our facilities management business by providing technical expertise, leadership, and guidance to ensure the economical maintenance of the facilities equipment associated with Plant Engineering.

Specifically, this position works with both AECOM and other contractors to support, manage, and coordinate the repair of industrial facility Electrical infrastructure; camera and security systems; facility gate and badge access equipment; contractual service/maintenance of elevators; fire alarm and notification systems; two-way radios and FCC licensing; and emergency power systems and gen sets.

Essential Functions:
?Troubleshoots, investigates and determines causes for failure, inefficiencies, and systems/equipment repair or modification.
?Leads and coordinates repairs. Maintains flexibility to directly supervise work issues, problems, or emergencies.
?Assists in maintenance of the facility?s network video recording system (ONSSI) and installation of additional cameras as needed.
?Oversees repair and maintenance of facility lighting systems and data center power (UPS).
?Understands standards and specifications, recommends changes to resolve design and construction problems, and writes periodic progress reports.
?Provides design information, reviewing and approving proposals and serving as primary Electrical contact.
?Estimates costs for equipment, materials and installation as a basis for determining the feasibility of alternatives and return on investment.
?Approves drawings, specifies equipment and writes purchase requisitions as needed.
?Supervises the work of outside contractors
?Works independently (i.e. with minimal supervision) as well as within the context of a team environment.
?Responsible for work procedures, scheduling, cost control, project specification conformity, monitoring and implementation of safety programs, project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and regulations, and records retention.
?Prepares and reviews plans, specifications, drawings and schedules to determine work phases and work priorities.
?Inspects fieldwork to evaluate construction progress, efficiency of operation and cost control.
?Ensures all construction is in compliance with design specifications, is completed on schedule, adheres to budget, meets accounting requirements and is built to quality standards.
?Understands and complies with all Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) programs and procedures.
?Safely performs functions of the position to insure adherence to established safety guidelines such as Arcflash safety procedures, job hazards analysis (JHAs), lockout/tagout, and the wearing of appropriate PPE by technicians and subcontractors performing Electrical and other work under your direction.
?Maintains a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.
?Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.

Minimum Requirements:
1.Bachelor?s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent combination of education and experience.
2.Ten years of experience in facility Electrical engineering, facility Electrical maintenance, or a related field.
3.Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher.

Physical Requirements:
?Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.
?Some tasks will require the ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
?Requires ability to read and understand information contained in a variety of documents or displayed on a computer screen.
?Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access data bases, to send/receive messages and to prepare documents.
?Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other AECOM, customer and/or vendor locations in the area, as well as some air travel to more distant locations.
?Requires the ability to communicate with others on the telephone and in one-on-one or group discussions, meetings and presentations.
?Demonstrated fluency in computer use including the full Microsoft product line.
?Requires some moving of light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets and other storage locations.
?Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
Special Requirements:
?Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
?Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained.

Preferred Qualifications:
1.Experience in planning and execution of facility related projects.
2.Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and maintaining Electrical service systems including Electrical power components for sub-stations, lighting systems, material handling or conveyor systems, and utilities for water, gas, steam, air, heating, ventilation, etc.
3.Experience performing Electrical maintenance and repair on facility related equipment in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
4.Experience managing contractors.
5.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
6.Familiarity with AutoCAD.
7.Familiarity with PLCs and PLC programming.
8.Experience building relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and service providers.

?Must be willing to work overtime when required. May be required to work holidays and weekends.
