Provides key administrative HR support for multiple functional groups and occasionally across the organization completing various projects for respective HR teams and functions. This role handles the day to day responsibilities including coordinating and processing various transactions related to employee data changes, maintains employee information/files, collaborates with various HR COEs on matters such as recruitment, payroll, benefits, etc., in order to provide the highest level of customer service to current, prospective and former employees. In addition, this role is the point of contact for all hourly employees. Requires excellent systems and process orientation, ability to problem solve and draw recommendations from various data inputs, focus on continuous improvement and excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Prepares and inputs data related to all employees through the WORKDAY system
Responsible for Hourly employee New Hire Orientation
Participates in weekly HR Department DDS Meetings
Provides customer service to current, prospective and former employees on varying HR-related matters. Responsible for taking action to resolve various HR issues with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality, interfacing with employees, cross-functional HR partners and management, as well as other team members potentially across the organization.
Develops, coordinates and administers New employee orientations in coordination with recruiting, hiring managers and HR generalists.
Serves as the super user of HR-related systems in the delivery of HR service to employees and in support of assigned HR team. Leverages the right tools and Resources for the task at hand and is a user of self-service tools.
Owns the administration of various employee benefit programs such as leaves of absence, retirement celebrations, etc.
Performs routine and ad hoc reporting from various HR systems to support the needs of the business and the HR Management Team. Analyzes, draws conclusions around and summarizes varying data sets.
Identifies, suggests and implements ongoing process improvements..
Responsible for hourly payroll, Actively communicates with Payroll and Benefits to ensure timely delivery of information
Primary contact person for Unemployment questions and information. Prepares and maintains appropriate correspondence to vendor.
Responsible for overseeing/auditing general duties such as copying, personnel file maintenance, special projects and various miscellaneous projects as needed and ensuring it is being done with a high degree of accuracy.
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or related degree
Demonstrated knowledge of various aspects of Human Resources required and knowledgeable of Resources including HR Service Center (payroll, benefits, pension service center), Finance, Talent Management, Recruiting, Compensation and Legal
WORKDAY experience preferred
Ability to work across the organization, not just within functions
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Self-motivated and independent problem-solving ability required
Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions
Demonstrated ability for a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction
Ability to work overtime as needed
Plant experience a plus
