At IT Services, we are passionate about software development. Our Store Solutions team is continuously expanding. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with focus on mobile app development. In our diverse environment you can always grow depending on your qualification level.

We use agile frameworks, perform daily scrum meetings, biweekly reviews, and regularly retrospectives to provide guidance for the team and foster continues improvement processes.

To enable the DHL retail stores to provide postal services and sell products we create and maintain different software products ranging from stationary cashbox system to mobile solutions. As our work has a direct impact to the end-customer experience in DHL retail stores the high quality of our products means everything for us.

Ready to embark on the journey? Here’s what we are looking for:

We plan to setup new teams to further strengthen our India division. Together with your team you will take part in the development of a new Android-based mobile application to sell products and postal services in the DHL retail stores. The current desktop application (.Net Core / Framework with Maui) runs on Windows only. We are striving to create one multiplatform application that operates on both mobile devices and desktop devices

We are looking for experienced developers with very good technical skill and strong knowledge in software engineering to create that multiplatform foundation for our future software product. Typically, your day would include:

  • Creating prototypes to push forward technical / architectural decision processes
  • Supporting architecture discussions
  • Creating system design for new components
  • Developing the multiplatform application in a collaborative way together with your team
  • Creating Unittest / automated system test
  • Supporting your team by sharing knowledge
  • Driving continuous improvement of the daily work in your team
  • Providing technical guidance for the usage of the foundation layer and principles of clean code to other teams

The project is part of a roadmap initiative with the aim to migrate a windows based fat client solution to a new multiplatform service based application. This includes the future use of cloud-based technology.

You will be part of the “foundation team” responsible for the future technical foundation layer. This layer will be an integral part of our new application. The creation of the layer is necessary to provide a quick and cost efficient way to develop new software modules for our business processes (e.g. to sell new postal services).

  • Knowledge in code refactoring, clean code approaches
