Key Responsibilities:

     • Lead the design and development of a complex application, ensuring scalability, performance, and accuracy.

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high- performance work environment.
• Develop detailed user stories and break down responsibilities into manageable tasks for team execution.
• R&D enthusiast: Research and explore innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance the product.
• Design and implement efficient data structures and algorithms to optimize the performance.
• Ensuring that all features and improvements are delivered on schedule.
• Ensure robust data processing pipelines for real-time and batch data, leveraging tools like Kafka.
• Design & Develop modules and integrations in alignment with DHL Security standards.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain high standards of software quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the reliability and stability of the routing engine.
• Optimize database usage, balancing NoSQL and RDBMS to achieve efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Responsible for documentation of work packages, specifications and user manuals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science.
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as NodeJS (Javascript), Python etc.
• Strong knowledge of frontend development using Angular to collaborate
• effectively with the frontend team.
• Experience with data processing tools like Kafka, and database systems like
• MongoDB and PostgresSQL.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment
• practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).

As a Senior Software Engineer, having Docker is a huge plus. Very good knowledge of CI/CD will also be an integral part of this role.

You are a technology aficionado; therefore you have a good understanding of MEAN Stack. You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
