This system administrator position supports the GPS Control Segment Sustainment program in Colorado Springs. The candidate will perform duties to include Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, and
System/Software/User Maintenance. The candidate will be required to maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with Network administrators. Duties will include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, applying monthly operating system/COTS updates/patches, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. The candidate will also be required to provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/Network devices for the program.

Systems Administrator, UNIX Administrator, Solaris Administrator, Network Administrator, Scripting, Data Storage, COTS, Solaris Security Toolkit, NAS, Network Area Storage, Network Backup and Restore.
Proficient with a Unix operating system (Solaris 10 preferred)
Candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain Security + certification.
Candidate must be willing to work weekends.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Candidate must have the ability to work in a team-oriented
setting or independently as required to achieve goals and
objectives in a fast paced schedule driven environment.
At a minimum an active DoD Secret clearance is required for this
position. Applicants selected will be subject to a government
security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for
access to classified information.
Familiar with Solaris Security Toolkit
Solaris Zones System Administration experience
Working knowledge of LDAP and Role-Based Access Control
Experience with patching Unix Operating Systems
