The CSS VXX Technical Lead is responsible for the planning, execution and / or statusing of all technical projects affecting VH-92A subsystems / interfaces, including obsolescence, continued airworthiness, product improvements and their certification, and sharing relevant information with the VH-92A team.
The CSS VXX Technical Lead reports directly to the CSS S-92A Chief Engineer on the program and supports the VH-92A Engineering team in resolving questions and issues related to the S-92A Basic Air Vehicle (BAV). Responsibilities include proposal development; creating Program Work Authorization (PWA); identifying product enhancement; provide technical leadership and management of diverse engineering disciplines, project planning, risk management with mitigation plans, and provide technical solutions; conduct weekly project status meetings; assist in development of aircraft projects.
Perform additional project management activities for S-92A Commercial Program.
The CSS VXX Technical Lead has technical and management responsibilities for the following elements and activities in support of the VXX Program:
? Conduct of Root Cause Corrective Action for issues encountered during VH-92A build that may be caused by S-92A nonconformities
? Lead development of corrective actions and improved engineering documentation as appropriate to resolve build discovery.
? Determine most expedient means of implementing S-92A ASBs.
? Provide engineering technical support as required to enable development of Technical Publications.
The CSS VXX Technical Lead will interface with the Sikorsky Program Management Team as required and at scheduled bi-weekly and monthly coordination meetings.
The CSS VXX Technical Lead will serve as the technical liaison between the S-92A and VH-92A program
Travel to Stratford is required.
The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (secret or above) is required.
?BA/BS degree w/8+ years experience
?MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience
Preferred candidate would have 10+ years of rotorcraft system design engineering experience with 2-5 years leading an IPT and experience working with a USG / foreign military customer.
Experience supporting aftermarket products and services is helpful but not required.
Candidate must have strong leadership skills, be a self-starter, have good technical problem-solving ability, good interpersonal skills, and be able to operate in a process improvement and earned value environment.
A strong knowledge of Project Management, IMS, Project Financials, EVMS, MS project, MS Access, and the ability to manage multiple projects and people is required.
The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated track record.
The preferred candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, highly demanding role, have very strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and present to the most senior levels of organizations (both internally and externally). Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and organizational skills are required.
