Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company, in Troy, Alabama, is a 174,000 square foot facility performing new airframe assembly of the U.S. Navy?s MH-60R and modifications to the CH-148 for the Canadian Maritime Force.

The successful candidate will partner with the Troy Operations team to align Human Resources and Industrial Relations objectives and initiatives to the business strategy for the entire organization. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Day to day interpretation of the collective bargaining agreement leading to positive union-company relations, including working closely with local Union leadership

Effectively manage and execute HR processes, including talent acquisition, FMLA administration, etc.

Provide strategic and tactical HR support to the leadership team and employees

Objectively assess and bring employee & labor relations issues to resolution

Lead and facilitate change initiatives through the use of HR consultation skills

Advise and counsel supervision on a variety of topics to optimize employee engagement, team development and organizational effectiveness

Implement and counsel employees on HR processes and procedures, performance management and career planning

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree with 2-4 years of Human Resource or Labor Relations experience

Knowledge of human resource practices and policies, and applicable state and federal laws

Hands-on self-starter, capable of juggling multiple priorities with a high level of positive customer service and attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, allowing for communication across all levels of the organization, and excellent computer skills, including MS Office and HR software applications

Desired skills
Successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in, but not limited to

Experience in a manufacturing / bargaining unit represented environment preferred

Managing employee investigations, grievance procedures, and compliance programs

Master?s degree a plus
