This opportunity is for an early career Software Engineer to support Software Item (SI) development and integration for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) within the Ground component. Candidate must have a good understanding of Command and Control software and software development practices. Candidate will perform software development tasks, including software requirements definition, software design, code, unit test and integration testing. Candidate will also support the coordination of software builds. Candidate will perform tasks in accordance with program and Lockheed Martin software command media. The candidate must coordinate with other groups within Ground Systems to ensure a successful implementation of the software. The candidate must ensure adherence to master plans and schedules. Candidate will be responsible for implementing software fixes and developing new capabilities as required.
Software Engineering, Software Development, C++ Programming, UNIX, LINUX, Object Oriented Programming, OOP, OOD, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, THAAD, Missile Defense and Interceptors.
Bachelors or Masters degree in a Software, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related engineering program from an accredited college/university.
Apex and UNIX experience is desired. Ada or C++ experience is desired. Candidate must have a good understanding of software development practices. Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and good communication skills, both written and oral.
