Advanced Programs RF (APRF) is seeking a Software Engineer on the CoralRing team to develop simulation and ground software for a domain specific cognitive system. Engineer will be member of agile software development team focused on all aspects of the software development required to design, implement and test a high fidelity simulation system, as well as operational ground software. The ideal candidate will have experience working on agile developments teams, have a broad technical skillset, experience interacting with end-users, and demonstrated ability to deliver high quality software products.
While considering the system as a whole, this role focuses on system integration and deployment, as well as executing simulations. Preferred candidate would be familiar with cloud and virtualization technologies (like Amazon Web Services ? AWS, and Docker). Candidate must be familiar with infrastructure-as-code concepts, methods and tools. This position would be responsible for designing and implementing the delivery system that brings together back-end machine learning, high throughput and big data components with user facing applications, configuring databases and message queues, and ensuring the simulation environment as well as the operational ground system are configured and deployed correctly.
In this role, the engineer will participate in proposals for future designs. This is a high-visibility, fast-paced environment with opportunities to work a variety of mission spaces and payloads.

Basic Qualifications
Experience developing for Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Python, Java or other programming languages
Active TS/SCI clearance is required
Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science or related field

Desired skills
Experience using Docker
Experience developing in an agile development environment
Experience with configuration management systems
Knowledge of Machine Learning concepts and tools
Modeling and Simulation experience
Experience developing user interfaces/user experience
Experience with technical presentations, proposal generation, and ability to write technical papers
