This is a key position in the Intelligent Technologies, Analytics, and Supportability (iTAS) directorate reporting to the Manager of Business Operations Analytics. The position is responsible to support program development Analytics directed at business applications and processes. This position is located in Sikorsky?s Shelton, CT facility. In this role, the analyst will drive proactive decision-making throughout the business, by utilizing data generated from Programs, Supply Chain, Operations, and Engineering, in order to identify opportunities for improvements to cost and schedule. The ultimate goal of iTAS is to shift to data driven program operations, enabling greater schedule and cost performance. The role requires coordination and execution with multiple platform teams, Engineering, Programs, Operations and external entities is essential for successfully identification, solicitation and development of analytic solutions to address business areas not traditionally serviced by the application of data science at Sikorsky Aircraft. The candidate will work extensively with Sikorsky and RMS internal business partners to assess opportunities that leverage analytical and data science approaches which enable business objective achievement and the integration of solutions into existing and future methodologies/toolsets.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Knowledge of business planning / financial management, applied analytics, and manufacturing operations, preferably in an Aerospace application. Strong lean background such as ACE or Lean Six Sigma training preferred
Experience in aircraft or similar product and process development Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and experience with data mining/analysis tools and programming languages is strongly preferred. Be responsible the implementation of Analytics to service business enterprise applications. Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and RMS counterparts. Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and approach new problems in an efficient methodical manner. The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, oral and written. Strong organizational skills and the ability to operate independently are required.
