Position Overview:

Our Sales Representatives drive and grow new business. In this role you will manage both emerging and established business relationships to ensure that the clients' needs and requirements are continuously met. You understand and anticipate how decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of clients. As your book of business grows you will enjoy reoccurring income that can be built upon month after month.

We passionately serve customers in the JanSan, Foodservice, and Industrial Packaging markets, delivering the right products and solutions to ensure their businesses are more successful everyday.

Salary Range: The starting salary range for the position is $65,000 to $68,000 annually based on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Call on facilities to expand the sales of the product lines, identifying target accounts within the specified market.

  • Build rapport and relationships with key customers by identifying customer needs, recommending products, systems and programs.

  • Develop sales presentations based on product lines and provide recommendations to key stakeholders.

  • Conduct and manage training and educational needs, answering customer questions and objections.

  • Work with division management to plan, organize, and control product lines to optimize profit and meet financial and company growth objectives.

  • Achieve overall gross margin results within defined account base.

  • Gather, analyze, and compare competitor data and pricing to that of the organization.

  • Research market conditions and conduct feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new products or services.

  • Create a business plan for developing new business and increasing existing business.

  • Manage and analyze business activity and development through CRM.

  • Effectively use company-sponsored tools for time and territory management.

  • Manage credit issues as they apply to accounts that are past due.

  • Respond to reports and other communication requested by management.

  • Participate in company-sponsored promotions and new product introduction.

  • Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in customer service and sales required.

  • Clean driving record and ability to drive to customer locations.

  • Ability to interact professionally with vendors, customers and division personnel.

  • Ability to work independently and build strong relationships.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong presentation skills and effectively communicate to a sales organization and customers.

  • Training abilities to enhance customer knowledge at all levels of staff.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow up skills required.

  • Ability to learn and utilize Prophet CRM software program.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Previous AS400 (Aplus) experience preferred.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to carry up to 30 lbs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree preferred.
