Project Specialist for AEGIS Ship Projects for Lockheed Martin Ship Integration and Test contracts.
Selected candidate will be part of the Ship Integration and Test (SI&T) team supporting Camden, NJ AEGIS operations.
The Project Specialist will lead technical and programmatic tasking from NAVSEA PEO IWS and MDA representatives.
Coordinate customer interactions at program and technical reviews.
Participate in the Technical Data Package and Planning Yard functions in support of Aegis Ashore Ballistic Missile Defense locations.
Daily interface with PEO IWS, MDA, NSWC-DD, NSWC-PHD, various PARMs and Naval Surface Forces.
Will closely interact with Ship Integration Engineering, program management, and LM finance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university.

Minimum 3 years experience in design, integration, and/or installation engineering with knowledge of CG 47, DDG 51, and/or FMS Aegis or other USN surface ship combat system equipment and land site simulators.

Knowledge of interface protocols, system design criteria, equipment interactions, major signal flows, and USN Shipbuilding specifications.

Position requires strong initiative characteristics and exceptional teaming skills.

Position requires ability to lead cost estimating tasks and to lead planning efforts for SI&T engineering services and projects.

Position may require occasional travel to Aegis Ashore locations in Romania, Poland and Japan.

Desired skills
Familiarity with Aegis combat system and BMD systems

Familiarity with the latest applicable military specifications for electrical and optical cable, connectors and system design, integration and integrity testing.

Knowledge of military specifications and standards related to bonding and grounding of equipment on Navy Ships, MIL-STD 1310, MIL-STD-1399 and MIL-STD-901D (shock).

Knowledge of military specifications related to ship cooling systems and components.

Prior operational experience in Aegis fleet.
