The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Programs) is seeking world class talent in Mission Systems to be a part of a team that will carry on our 70 year tradition of making history in advanced aircraft development.
The position will be part of the Avionics and embedded systems development team for an ADP Program. You as the successful applicant will become part of a small, diverse team of system developers tasked with creating next generational Avionics, Communications, and embedded system capabilities and providing technical support to existing, fielded systems. The team is in need of additional passionate, motivated engineers with interests in embedded computing development, wireless communications, and flight systems hardware and software design, integration and test.
You as the successful applicant must be capable of working independently in all aspects of designing and creating electronic system level solutions based on limited information. Applicants must be comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment on rapidly evolving projects. Applicant must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The applicant will gain experience in avionics subsystems such as navigation guidance, communication data links, vehicle computers, mission computers, application of commercial networking technology to flight systems, and air vehicle subsystem interfacing.
Applicants with experience in the following areas will be considered a plus: electronic system-level design and development with FPGAs (VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog knowledge), C/C++ programming, embedded computing technologies and design techniques, high speed digital interfaces, System-on-Chip development, RF communications, various types of digital and analog/RF test and measurement, digital communications theory, network design and implementation, GPS, and inertial navigation.
Current / Active Top Secret Clearance preferred.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Bachelor or above Degree in a Engineering Related Discipline
- Experience in Electronic design
- Must have a final secret to start
- C/C++ programming, embedded computing technologies and design techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in an extremely dynamic environment
- Experience in design and development with FPGAs
