Beginning expertise in functional domains such as finance, personnel, acquisition, etc. Performs research, collection, collation and compilation of data, and preparation of inputs into larger reports. Evaluates and interprets findings. Prepares finished products for review by team leader or higher level analysts. Interfaces with external entities to collect data. Uses and/or develops computer tools to facilitate analysis tasks. Prepares monthly status reports. May be assigned to customer site. May prepare and present briefings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare and integrate equipment; Fabricate/build equipment, cabling, ancillary hardware, interface units, test fixtures and other required items. Perform pre-production and production activities, including fabrication of: inter-/intra-cabinet cables, inter-/intra-compartment cables, Connector kits and-unique cabling in accordance with Government Standards
Build integrated assemblies, assemble components inside equipment cabinets, and build test fixtures, interface boxes, test cables, and other items.
Perform integration activities to include mounting and securing equipment, installing interconnecting hardware, installing interconnecting cabling, dressing, and stowing cables to assure sufficient length prior to final termination in accordance with applicable standards;.
Fabricate/Install cable ladders at the back of racks to allow for cabling support from overhead cable ways.
Conduct quality inspections on all integrated products and cables to ensure the highest quality products are delivered to the Government.
High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
Experience: Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout.
