We are currently looking to expand our team with a Network Systems Engineer. You will be supporting high profile customers in Herndon, VA!

The Network Systems Engineer will be a key member of our mission infrastructure development team. This team develops network and system automation products and internal tools. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and passionate engineering professional, have expertise in a variety of fields, and be able to professionally represent ManTech in customer facing meetings.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

? Ability to debug and verify network traffic using wireshark/tcpdump or other related tools

? Strong understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 networking concepts

? Creating technical requirements and working with the Engineering team to develop, test and launch the functionality on-time and with high quality

? Ability to design and maintain long term software system with a small team of developers

? Ability to design, implement, and maintain network Systems

Required Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

? Requires a Bachelor?s degree or equivalent and 7+ years of related experience.

? Minimum 3 years? experience in technology/tools specific to the target platforms.

? Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix

? Familiar with VMware esxi and VSphere

? Quick learner, able to learn new technology and software

? Participate in the project?s agile process

? Exposure to VPN technologies (e.g. cisco, OpenVPN) and iptables configuration

? Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as a team member

Desired Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

? Ability to design and maintain support software Systems with a small team of developers e.g atlassian, gitlab, etc

? Experience with configuration management tools such as ansible, chef, puppet, etc.

? Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

? Exposure to continuous integration and deployment

? Experience with network management monitoring tools

? Participate in the project?s agile process

US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance required*
