Candidate will lead a team in developing and maintain real-time flight and special test equipment software on the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program. The task will include being one of the central points of contact for the mission software organization. This involves support of failure investigations, customer presentations, proposal activities, development planning, development scheduling and directing software engineers in daily software development activities.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Self-motivated, strategic thinker with a current DoD Secret clearance.
Capable of being cleared for special access program.
The candidate should have :
1. A strong background in desktop computer and embedded computer architecture
2. A strong background in Linux and VxWorks operating systems
3. A strong background in software development process.
4. A strong background in real-time hardware, software integration.
5 A clear understanding of typical missile subsystems, missile test issues, defensive missile flight operations and typical risk areas.
6. A clear understanding of GN&C and target tracking algorithms.
7. Some experience in programming C++ or similar language
8. Experience in resource estimation, allocation and scheduling for software development activities
Experience in defensive missile systems
Experience in Software Development and SSC standard software process
Led a team in the delivery of at least one MCA and one MCS software product using a contractually-required software development process
Proficient in Linux
Basic programming experience in C++ or similar language
Basic programming experience in Perl, Python and Linux shell scripts
