Responsibilities include supplier quality engineering activities on commodity and subcontract procurements. Products include a wide range of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic components, COTS items, and major assemblies. Requires close coordination with site Operations and Engineering, and Procurement functions. Reviews contractual and drawing requirements, identifies quality requirements and applies the applicable quality flow-down text to material requisitions / purchase orders. Requires routine usage of SAP P2P. Will perform organizational quality management system audits at supplier?s manufacturing facilities; evaluate FAIs for acceptance, and evaluate supplier performance for taking appropriate corrective and preventative actions. Issues corrective action requests to suppliers for site rejections and evaluates responses for elimination of the root cause(s). Performs special process audits. Makes recommendations on potential supplier selections based on total costs, inspection of facilities, risk assessments, and historical performance. Must be able to travel domestically and internationally on short notice. Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Familiarity with or formal coursework and/or experience in the design, analysis, and/or construction of electrical components and circuits.

Desired skills
Working knowledge of design, manufacturing, materials and processes for electronic parts is a plus.
Experience with high reliability technical standards and/or military specifications.
Good writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in mechanical and/or electrical design, production/manufacturing, materials and processes.
Strong organization and, interpersonal/team skills.
Ability to work independently and multi-task, demonstrated leadership skills, and a desire to proactively own tasks thru to closure.
Self-starter who can develop solutions to technical issues with only general direction.
