Telecom Installer Yorktown, Virginia possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as an Installation Technician in the Telecom Industry.
Capable of performing the following work operations or job activities without supervision or direction:
- Addition or removal of common systems equipment /hardware
- Addition or removal of wiring and connections (on non-working equipment only and switchboard cable only)
- Lead verification/Continuity testing
- Analysis of job specification and drawing
- Provide work assignments to skill level 1 and 2 installers
- Prepare a Method of Procedure (MOP)
- Write Job Information Memos (JIM)
- Resolve job specification and/or drawing problems
- Mark/correct office record drawings
- In-progress and final quality inspections
- Be capable of performing as the installation supplier's in-charge person on common systems job.
- Training in Basic Telephony power.
Clean driving record required. Proficiency and familiarity with installing the following types of central office equipment is desirable: Juniper MX960, Fujitsu 9500, Fujitsu 4500, Canoga Perkins NID, Cisco 9912 Edge Switch, Adtran TA5000, Cisco NGROADM, and Ciena ROADM
Location: Positions available in Yorktown, VA & surrounding areas but candidate must also be available for overnight travel within the Mid-Atlantic region (NJ, MD, PA, VA) as needed.
