YOUR TASKS
The Powerplant Engineer is responsible for the dedicated systems of the fleet providing support for on and off-wing components. The role maintains the contact to the various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to provide Engineering support.
Provision of technical support to other departments:
Supporting the Maintenance Department in Trouble shooting, providing of information, research.
Supporting other departments such as the Logistics in case alternative spare part units need to be defined, records department, etc.
Supporting Finance department for accounting
Provision of technical support within Engineering:
Assisting in the production of reliability reports
Responsibility for the technical build-up, review and adjustment of the aircraft and engine Maintenance Program (MP).
Airworthiness management of the fleet and dedicated systems (Engines, APUs):
Assistance with the follow-up of hard time components in such case they are part of the dedicated system
Detection and solving of recurrent problems
Review, analysis and preparation of specific working instructions or maintenance procedures based on guidelines from manufacturers (Service Bulletins (SBs) and/or airline authorities (Airworthiness Directives (ADs)).
Administrative processing of maintenance data or recommendations
Follow up of inspections or modifications, maintenance tasks done during the operation
Producing of the necessary reports in case of technical investigations or analysis performed
Engine Condition Monitoring: Review of the trends and definition of corrective and preventive actions
Preparation of the Work Scope for the airframe and/or engines going into shop visit. Review of shop visit reports and proposal of changes for MPs
Responsibility for specific technical projects
Participation in cross-departmental projects
Definition and improvement of departmental processes
Detection and proposal of potentials for cost saving
YOUR PROFILE
Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace Engineering or Bachelor Professional (“Staatlich geprüfter Techniker”)
Minimum 2 years of experience in CAMO Engineering, in aircraft engine or related equipment maintenance
Very good knowledge of English and German
Good knowledge of IT tools (Office products)
TRAX, AMOS knowledge highly desirable
Systematic and analytical thinking
Able to work under stress
Motivated, flexible and reliable
Capable of autonomous work
High level of accuracy
Ability to work in teams
