Job Summary
The College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a PhD Research Faculty member to be appointed at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, Regular Title Series, to the Division of Nephrology. Selected candidate will have oversight for a CLIA/CAP certified Bone Lab, and be expected to conduct innovative, rigorous, grant funded research and engage in scholarly activities (peer reviewed publications, presentations, etc.). Faculty member will be responsible for supervision of laboratory staff and will also contribute to undergraduate teaching and behaviorally oriented training of UK medical students and research training of UK graduate students and postdoctoral scholars associated with the Division of Nephrology including mentorship programs, courses, workshops, and supervised research.
The candidate will also support the clinical research mission of the Division through various roles, including development and supervision of clinical protocols, accrual of patients to clinical trials, and participation in regulatory oversight programs for clinical research.
