We are currently searching for a talented Structural Technician Intern to join and grow with our Structural team in St. Paul, Minnesota!

Designing stable horizontal and vertical solutions to stand the test of time is the driver behind our structural engineers who are passionate about the responsibility and impact of their work. At SEH you’ll join a team who specializes in developing structural solutions for buildings, bridges, floodwalls, retaining walls, large diameter sewers and more. You’ll be part of an award-winning team utilizing the latest in structural design and technologies to help deliver new, renovated or rehabilitated structures that stand the test of time

This Opportunity:

  • Dive into the world of cutting-edge design by using Autodesk Revit to create detailed structural models and construction documents that bring ideas to life.
  • Shape the future by modeling building elements across a variety of materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Be part of diverse, high-impact projects spanning industries such as architecture, aviation, civil and water infrastructure, and more!
  • Hone your technical skills by Revit assisted quantity take-offs and crafting cost estimates for structural elements.
  • Play a vital role in the construction process by reviewing shop drawings and submittals during the construction phase, with periodic construction site observation opportunities if interested.
  • Join a forward-thinking team at a tech-driven company pioneering the use of point-cloud data and other reality capture technologies to push boundaries.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Student pursing a technical college degree related to the construction or design industry, specific to drafting required.
  • Ability to travel within the state of Minnesota as needed for team meetings, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
  • Eager to learn and ability to work in a collaborative environment with other team members

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to pick up comments on multiple project Revit models per week.
  • Ability to pivot between projects as needed by changing project schedules.
  • Knowledge with Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat to communicate both plots from Revit and hand markups.
  • Ability to read construction building drawings.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Teams to communicate with internal and external team members through instant messaging and video calling.

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $21 and $24 per hour based on skill set and experience.
