Overview

  • Conducting and analyzing scientific research, preparation of written reports 

  • Maintenance of lab equipment and facilities, training of staff and interns regarding protocols and procedures

  • Laboratory animal management 

  • Other general lab duties as assigned 



Responsibilities

  • Master’s degree in relevant field AND 3 years of relevant experience OR

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks at one time in a fast-moving environment.

  • Handling and working with laboratory animals.

  • Immunohistochemistry, RT-PCR, flow cytometry, and/or confocal microscopy.

  • Experience in molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, and/or neurobiology.

  • Excellent communication skills, as are analytical and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Advanced knowledge of research practices.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of experiment methodology.
  • Ability to work with occasional supervision.
  • Ability to perform the job duties with or without accommodation.


Qualifications



  • PhD or more than 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, as are analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Lab record keeping.
