Role Purpose

As a leader at DHL Express, you will guide, develop, and control business operations at the country level to achieve both short-term and long-term financial and operational objectives. This includes profitability, revenue, productivity, market share, human resources deployment, and training activities, all in alignment with the DPDHL strategy.

Main Accountabilities

  • Team Leadership:Direct large and complex teams to achieve their goals, both line and matrix/virtual.
  • Inspire and Empower: Lead with accountability, recognition, rewards, and feedback. Define team structures, roles, performance targets, and goals.
  • Team Development:Provide candid and regular feedback, inspirational leadership, and support for career development opportunities.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and implement sustainable strategies that position DHL as the employer, supplier, and investment of choice.
  • Customer Focus:Drive customer-centric strategies across all business levels.
  • Organizational Insight: Understand the organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Set and achieve clear, challenging targets.
  • Innovative Culture: Foster a culture that embraces new ways of organizing, challenging norms, and delivering long-term advantages.
  • Continuous Improvement:Lead continuous improvement and maintain high quality standards across teams and the organization.
  • Cross-Cultural Interaction: Engage effectively across cultures, divisions, and business levels. Build senior stakeholder commitment to impactful outcomes.
  • Unified Approach:Promote collaboration AS ONE DHL organization and partner with customers and suppliers for integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in General Management positions, preferably within DHL.
  • Proven ability to motivate leaders and staff to translate philosophy into corporate goals.
  • Master of Business Administration degree.
  • Expertise in organizing, managing, and administering financial, operational, and sales activities.
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms.
  • Fully bilingual (English - Spanish).
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure.
  • Strong organizational and high-level planning skills.
  • Proficiency with computerized systems.
