We are seeking experienced Journeyworker HVAC Installers to join our team in Denver, CO.
 
McCarthy is also looking for team members that have a proven commitment to safety and can be committed to a full-time schedule in Phoenix, AZ. 


Working Conditions:   
  • Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas. 
  • Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces and/or other adverse locations. 
  • Climb, balance, squat, kneel and crouch. 
  • Work in all types of weather. 
  • Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs. occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 16 to 22 pounds of force constantly to move objects. 
Experience:  
  •  8 or more years relevant technical training (or have completed a formal apprenticeship program and obtained relevant certifications) or equivalent work-related experience or knowledge of hvac systems, electrical components, and refrigeration principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  •  Technical license as required by local jurisdiction and EPA certification required or Hold and retain relevant H/CFC universal license.
  • Create exceptional client experiences through strong relationships, knowledge of their business, and an ability to deliver impactful solutions. 
  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems and components
  • Maintains tools, supplies and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of items and equipment are in safe operating condition.
  • Indirect Supervision. 
  • Prepares documentation for written support and conveying information appropriately. 
  • Responds to emergency situations to resolve heating/cooling and plumbing issues. 
  • Operates heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems and related equipment. 
  • Comprehends technical information and blueprints for quick execution.
  • Supports in the coordination, development, and training of other service technicians.
  • Comply with McCarthy Safety Guidelines
  • Attend and participate in crew Task Hazard Analysis (THA) for all planned work.
  • OSHA 10 Training and McCarthy New Employee Training (NET).   
 

Additional Information:

  • High School Diploma (or GED, High School Equivalence Certificate). Preferred but not required. 
  • Self-Motivated, reliable, punctual, and eager to learn. 
  • Must have reliable transportation. 
  • Personal tools in accordance with attached trade list by position. 
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with partners and clients. 
  • Learn company policies, imperatives, and contribute to the culture. 
  • Share innovative ideas for improvement that generate impactful results.
  • Clear communication skills with all trade partners that delivers great experiences for everyone.
