As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will perform system engineering functions for the Windows-based and Linux-based platforms, Active Directory, VMware, Public Key Infrastructure, VDI, security engineering, performance monitoring and the process optimization through automation to support a WAN infrastructure.


Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Write and maintain scripts in visual basic, PowerShell, JavaScript, and other automation frameworks
    Support automated test creation initiatives
  • Analyze system faults, troubleshoot, and run diagnostic test on operating system and hardware to detect problems.
  • Evaluate and install developed software during various phases of testing.
  • Review and prepare documentation for Systems and tests capable of installing and required software.
  • Initiate preventive maintenance on the operation system as well as be capable of repairing system/environment problems.
  • Develop the procedures and be capable of executing existing and developed procedures in order to maintain compliance with mandates and/or vendor-released patches and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot of system performance and make system modifications to accommodate hardware upgrades.
  • Secure applications based on applicable government security policies, such as Risk Management Framework, DoD Joint Security Implementation Guide (DJSIG)
  • Complete RMF documentation artifacts including SCTMs, test plans, requirements matrices, compliance reports, STiG checklists, vulnerability mitigation reports, CONOPS, configuration guides, and other documentation as required.

Position Requirements:

  • Requires Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Systems, HP SANs, VMware products.
  • Security+CE or DoD 8140 Certification required
  • ITIL v3.0 or Foundation Certifications highly desired
  • One of the following certifications is preferred: MCSE - Microsoft Certified System Engineer, MCSE - Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MCITP - Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional, VMware VCP - VMware Certified Professional

Security Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship, an active DoD Top Secret clearance
