Intervention Specialist - Phoenix Center - Military veterans preferred

Job Summary:

The Intervention Specialist provides supervision and therapeutic services to adult clients of a short term crisis stabilization unit.

Essential Functions:

1. Supervises self-administration of medications of residents and completes required documentation.
2. Completes admissions, discharges, and milieu interventions including meal preparation and cleaning tasks.
3. Completes activities as per schedule.
4. Monitors mental and physical status of residents.
5. Completes all unit documentation including shift summaries, MAR, and group notes in a timely manner.
6. Reports changes in client status and unit concerns to CSU Director/Nurse Coordinator as indicated.
7. Answers telephone and provides information by phone as necessary in adherence with client confidentiality policy.
8. Fosters a therapeutic environment by engaging clients in positive interaction and models healthy coping skills.
9. Fosters collaborative working relationships among members of the leadership and management teams and programs.
10. Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

1. High School diploma or GED
