Job Summary
The Center for Student Success in the Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is seeking an Academic Coordinator for the pre-veterinary program. This position will provide pre-professional mentoring to 1st and 2nd year undergraduate students with an interest in pre-veterinary medicine and is responsible for providing instructional and educational support to the pre-veterinary program by teaching up to three courses per year.

Additionally, this position will provide support to the pre-veterinary program through efforts such as program-level assessment, alumni relations, partnership development and industry support, planning and delivery of pre-veterinary medicine related events, and support of college-level recruitment efforts associated with pre-veterinary medicine. Performs other duties to ensure student success on behalf of the college and university.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/Experience
Prefer a master’s degree in animal science, equine science and management, pre-veterinary medicine/science, biology, or related science-based STEM field; prefer a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in college/university mentoring/advising with a preference for pre-veterinary or pre-health mentoring/advising. Familiarity with the veterinary industry and veterinary-adjacent careers is preferred.
