Kinsley Power Systems, a family-owned industry leader in power generation service, sales, and rentals, is seeking a dedicated Shop Technician to join our growing team. This position is required to work on-site at our current facility. However, exciting news – we will be relocating to Clifton Park within the next 6-12 months, giving you the opportunity to be a part of our growth and transition into an upgraded facility!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely handle shipping and receiving duties using a powered industrial truck.
  • Deliver parts to field technicians as needed.
  • Conduct regular facility audits and ensure a safe, healthy work environment.
  • Perform engine repairs, electrical diagnostics, and maintenance on in-house units.
  • Provide internal and external support to Field Service Technicians.
  • Maintain and upkeep rental equipment.
  • Assist in emergency response efforts, both within and outside the company's service area.
  • Cross-train to provide backup support for the Parts Coordinator position as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to achieve OSHA10 or OSHA30 certification.
  • Valid state driver's license and the ability to meet DOT medical certification criteria.
  • Strong integrity, urgency, and drive for success.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a high-demand environment with a focus on safety.
  • Basic computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.
  • Previous engine and electrical experience is a plus.
  • A team player who balances individual and team responsibilities.
